Thinking ahead.... keeping a Pressure Well Tank from freezing

Unless you are on top of Mt. Hood you should not need any sort of dedicated heater, other than a light bulb or two.

   . . .all three of my wells have nothing more than a light bulb, never have frozen up. I am at the 7-8 hundred foot level.

Yep....if you have a basement, that's where it needs to be.

Water room in my basement. Well tank located there, plus the spring water line (2 separate systems) with booster pump and UV light.

And everything that will ever need maintenance right there handy, not in a hole in the ground.

I couldn't find anything on google for Hughett Bend, but Molalla is west side, and you don't get much cold weather there. East slope winter low temps are at least 20 degrees colder, and it's not unusual to get a couple days of -20.

You know Larry - I looked and I couldn't find Hughett Bend anywhere in WA either. And I'm pretty familiar with most small towns here in Ea WA. Oh, well - plenty of good solutions presented here.

Go to the farthest spigot and let Drip at night the warm water in the holding tank will keep it and your pipes from freezing on the coldest nights

The other WA is Western Australia, but I don't think they get much cold weather there.

The other CA is Canada. :)
