I got the 16 inch bucket, thought that would be a happy medium. How much are the thumbs for backhoe? I think I would like that.
Do you have to have an extra valve or remote for the Grabble?

Welcome to TBN. Join the fun:thumbsup:

I just checked the hydraulic lines on my 2008 Mahindra 5525 with the ML250 FEL. That FEL has hard lines where there should be hard lines; flex hose where there should be flex hose. There is no excessive lengths of rubber flex hose on my FEL. Don't know why it's not that way on your FEL.

I do have fairly long runs of flex hose from the FEL joystick valve to the triple hydraulic remotes mounted on the right rear fender (a flat top fender makes this an easy setup; dealer designed, dealer installed, $700 when I bought the 5525 six years ago). So far no problem with leaks.

That 5525 has been a rock solid tractor. No complaints.

Good luck.

Mahindra sources their loaders from 2 diferent companies. One is KLM can't think of the other. The one I can't think of makes loaders for John Deere and Kubota also. I can't understand why Mahindra puts the inferior loader on their premium tractor and the better loader on their plain tractors like the 4025. Go figure? Your loader has hard lines, reinforced bucket and recessed zerk fittings.

That's KMW. ;)

Back in 2007, I paid $925. It is massive and heavy with 1 inch thick jaws. 5-5-07 Bradco Thumb.jpg

Sorry. I was gong from memory and was thinking of another company. I had a hectic day! Don't mean to offend anyone, but I still stand by the fact that I like the other loader better. The KMW loader would cost a fortune If you have to replace all those lines in the future! I have a background in high pressure lines and it is much more efficient to use mid-steel where possible.

The other company that makes loaders for Mahindra in "Ansung".

Wow, almost a thousand dollars for a manual thumb seems high. Where I worked we built an entire 4 cylinder engine for a car for about $400.00. That was made from mostly aluminum also. Manufactoring cost of a thumb couldn't be more that $100.00!

That ML250 FEL on my 5525 is made by Buhler Industries, Inc. (B.I.I) in Fargo, SD. Buhler is a Canadian company.

Must be a regional thing. All the Mahindra loaders on my dealers lot are either Ansung or KMW. The Ansung have hard lines on 2/3 on the lines and the KMW are all Flexable rubber lines. The bucket connection also allows the Ansung loaders to have a better dump and curl angle.
