Thinking of buying a zero turn mower????

I have a Scag Wildcat and have found that not only is it faster to mow with, it handles angles that I wasn't comfortable on with my tractor and finish mower. The cut is lower, but after a few weeks of cutting, the grass adjusted and now it looks awesome. I mow areas of my place. I mow with the zero turn once a week, during the week. Then I mow my trails and pastures once a month with the tractor. The zero turn is faster, but for the bigger areas that I only mow once a month, the grass is too long for it to be practical.

Check out the Hustler brand of mowers. I love mine. Have had it for three years. I think you get the most bang for your buck with the hustler.

The cut is lower than? Kubota? Just kooking at going from my Simplicity ZT to a B2920 and am concerned about the Kubota's MMM cut? Thanks

Have had my Toro Z Master for a number of years. Biggest mistake I made was not getting one sooner. Cut my mowing time down by 2/3.

We have a Kubota zg20 with a 48 inch cut and use it on 5 acres. it only cuts at 9 miles per hour, so it takes about 4 hours. A riding lawn mower took us 12 hours. The Kubota has a hydralic lift to the deck so you don't have to use your leg to raise or lower it. Only problem i have had with it is getting it stuck in the mud. lol A thousand plus pound lawn mower can be a chalenge to get unstuck at times.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear.

The cut on my zero turn mower is lower then my finish mower. They do different areas, and I've found that the places that I cut with my zero turn, look nicer with the grass cut as short as possible with a 5 ft deck. The first few times I cut it at the lower height, the grass looked really bad. Mostly it was brown looking. Then it started to change and turn green. That took about three weeks, give or take. Since then, it's been amazing.

I'm on my second season with my 72" JD 997 diesel ZTR. It's probably cut my mowing time by at least half what I used to spend on a tractor with finish mower.

One of the things I like about the Scag is it seems to have a low center of gravity.

Been considering a JD ZTR also but still leaning toward a scag.
