After having my new B2650 a little more than a week, I realized I should have ordered the 3rd function Aux Hydraulics kit for it when I bought it. Everything attachments sells a kit. 3rd function auxilliary hydraulic kits for all brands of tractors and loaders! purchase online, free shipping within 1,000 miles!!. I was wondering how difficult the install would be and if anyone has done it specifically for the B2650? The loader control stick is next to the seat and not up on the loader. It looks a little tight in there. Just not sure I want to drag it back to the dealer and pay the man. Below are a few pics of the lines and the loader control stick IMG_9615.jpgIMG_9614.jpgIMG_9616.jpg

Thanks. I saw that video earlier. The loader control stick in that video is up on the loader and not near the seat like on my B2650. I'll probably have the dealer do it. They wanted $850 at the time I bought the tractor. Kits by themselves are near that. My guess is the dealer will want more that $850 now. IMG_9615.jpg

Go thru sales and not to parts and service.

I added a Landpride 3rd function kit to my BX25 and it did not require touching the loader control. Conceptually, it was "spliced" into the line going from the pump to the FEL control. You would have to do the same, it just depends on how the kit is designed as to where you insert the 3rd function valve. Maybe call EA and ask them about installation options, etc. I see the kit says it's installs in the PB port of your FEL vavle, so you would remove the hose going to that port, connect another hose that now goes to the 3rd function valve (location not stated by EA - probably depends on tractor model), then another hose from the 3rd function valve to wherever the original PB hose connected. You might be able to reuse the OEM hose for the last connection.

I guess what I'm trying to convey is that you won't be adding another hose to the FEL valve, just unhooking one and hooking up another one, so you probably won't need any more room there. Just see how hard it is to turn a wrench in there by the FEL valve.

Edit: Looked at the EA pic's and it looks like they mount the 3rd function to the FEL stanchion so see how much room you have there on your B2650. One thing about a Kubota set up, I would assume, is that it comes with a mounting block for the hoses/ quick connects out on the FEL tube. Looks like the EA version hoses just hang there.

OrangeTractorTalks has a post with some more detail for the same tractor and loader I have. It looks like I need the B7350 kit from Kubota. Time to call the dealer and get a quote for both the kit and how much it will cost or them to install. Afterwards, I'll decide if it's worth doing it myself to save some $$. The tractor was at the dealer for some work last week so I went ahead had him order the Kit (~$930 kit plus tax and install) for my B2650. I got a call today from him and now he's now telling me he doesn't quite know how to install it. Apparently the electrical instructions are poor. He's being very careful. From what I understand there are only three wires, Battery wire, up wire to valve and down wire to the valve) and chassis ground. There are a couple fuses to install as well. I sent him the instructions to the land pride model. Maybe I should have just done this myself? It doesn't look too hard http://www.landpride.com/ari/attach/lp/public/manuals/380-169m.pdf

So he got it installed yesterday. Here are a few pics. I'll get one of the loader arm with the three buttons it comes with. b2650_fel_3rd_1.jpgb2650_fel_3rd_2.jpgb2650_fel_3rd_3jpg.jpg

Looks just like mine did from the dealer. I took and rotated the 90's off the aluminum valve block towards the center of the tractor. Tucks them up outta the way better and put less stress on the hoses running back the the pump. When I get time I plan to build a guard that covers the bottom and couplers, as I play in the woods a lot.

I may rotate mine as well. I didn't like how the hoses are tucked in there. Here's a few more pics of the control stick with added buttons for the 3rd function. IMG_1335.JPGIMG_1338.JPGIMG_1337.JPGLooks like the large white button below the knob is a lock release.
