Hey guys I'm looking to add some auxiliary hydraulics to my tractor, it's a 2016 mahindra 2538 currently has the loader and obviously 3 pt hitch, my plan is to break the PB connection on loader valve and run it into a D03 subplate(3rd function valve) out of the T port to rear remote valve (2 or 3 spool) with PB plug out, and then to a mahindra backhoe in and out and then back to feed the 3 point hitch, I know the spool valve will need a line to return back to the tank somewhere also, it just seems logical to do it all at once, then only have to get hoses made once, I posted a similar post in hydraulics but figured I ask mahindra owners also, any input is great,, thanks

The post is a bit confusing but I think you are on the right track- each “device” gets PB in and out with the “last” device dumping its PB out back into the case via the existing return (typically on top of the case).

If you plan to run the DO3 between the loader and BH I’d upsize it since the BH will see the most constant use and generate some heat- you don’t want that part restricting flow.

Alright does a D05 subplate require a D05 valve or are the ports the same and will line up with a D03 valve body, I assume a D05 manifold has larger ports allowing a higher gpm

I’m not the expert on those valves. If I recall they list the GPM the valve can handle. I’d be looking at something that was designed for 15+ GPM. If I recall the machine has an 8-10 GPM pump- but I’d verify that too. Anyway you get the idea- I’d be looking at something that has 1.5-2x the GPM of the machine to ensure good flow with no heat buildup in that valve.

The only catch is that when you upsize like that, you can lose the ability to "feather" the valve to move it just a little.
Someone on here had a hydraulic feed chipper with a 4gpm pump. It came with a 0-8 GPM flow control valve and his range of useful flow control was the first 1/4 of the travel of the lever on the valve. After that it ran wide open.
He replaced the valve with a 0-4 GPM valve and had a much more useful system.

I believe the DO3 and DO5 valves are electric over hydraulic. Those typically won’t feather at all.... the valve slams open and shut. Any feathering would have to be done with a flow restricter.

You have to use a do3 valve with a do3 plate they are not interchangeable. A hyvair tandem center d03 valve will flow 13.2 gpm , specs show your tractor system to be 7.6 gpm
