This Back Hoe Thumb thingy work rather nice

Make sure you prefit all the pieces together, as the fitment is rough. I ended up welding up a few of the loose pin holes and grinding the tight ones for a good fit.

Also you need to special order the attachment bracket at 2.62 wide for a good fit to the BH boom arm. Wider and you will need to modify something.

I figure that's about a 1,000 LB rock in the claw.

Nice purchase. A thumb is on my short list.

You'll get the loader figured out and will be very happy with it when it's fixed. I used my loader today for about 2 hours and was smiling. That L-39 is a beast and worth every dime; couldn't be happier with a piece of equipment.

Looks awesome.How does the hydraulic part hook into your tractor.Watched a large excavader tear down a two story building today.He seperated the tin siding and roofing ,also,and made short work of it. I dont know if ones available for my bx-23,but this would make life easy piling rocks on my stoone walls.

It's a Mechanical (Fixed Thumb) This is how it's adjusted.

If I wanted to go Hydraulic, I'd be forking out about $2,000 more.

When I finally get around to posting some pics of the dozens of huge rocks (boulders???) I've dug out with the BH and moved with the FEL, you will be impressed for sure....... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I'm using them to landscape our garden and outdoor patio sitting area and it has turned out real nice, the photos unfortunately will not do justice to the amount of work it took me to do it all.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
