Got the call back not long after I last posted, and stopped by on the way home to sign a purchase order and give a deposit.

Still don't have hard dates on when everything will be here, but I should know more tomorrow.

They are having a hard time finding a part number for the single-lever version of the imatch, anyone have any leads?

Figured I'd add the final tally.

2520 w/iMatch $14068.37
62D OnRamp MMM w/ independent lift & mulching kit $2782.75
LX5 w/ slip clutch, frt rubber and rear chain safety guard $1025.39
200CX less ballast box $2550.00
Frontier BB1060 Box Blade for $600.00
$40.00 tire fee

Total all fees and Labor $21066.51 + the local and state extortionists cut

I took advantage of the 0% for 36 months

Thanks for the replies and various posts I read while lurking.

I don't want to start anything here, but I feel a little offended that you would say that Kubota owners must "get paid" to post favorable comments about their machines. I have a Kubota B3030 and I like it a lot. I looked at JD and NH before deciding to buy it, too. I just liked it better so I bought it. It fits in between the sizes those brands offer. I like the seat just fine and the adjustable lower links on the 3PTH make changing implements very simple. The JD2520 is too small for me and has only a two range transmission. The 3120 is heavier than I wanted for a lawnmowing tractor. The New Hollands were the same. I am not saying they are bad tractors, just not right for me. I also think someone gave you very bad advice about the ease and time it takes to R&R the MMM and FEL. Five minutes at most on a bad day with mine. Good luck with your new machine and remember that people post their comments here of their own free will. I respect your opinion, please respect mine.

Good to know you like it, guess your not getting paid to say it.

I just put 2 & 2 together, it's a tactic frequently employed by Asian companies in other industries unlike their American counterparts they can see the benefit (though this is likely changing). I considered that along with my impressions of their tractors... not that they were bad just that I didn't perceive them to be as well thought out or put together.

Anyway nice to know you found what you wanted, and good to hear practice can shorten those times.

I've been around here a little while and I think it's a pretty fair statement to say that lot's of us are biased toward what we own -- after all that's what we decided on for some reason, be it the dealer or the machinery.

At the same time, I don't think there any "plants" posting here from one brand or another. If there are, they're pretty good at what they do. Kubota and JD are the most popular brands on this site. I think that's a reflection of market share among the CUT consumers mre than anything else. When you get into the bigger tractors, there are not too many posters but they are pretty well balanced out with JD being the most common.

Personally, I think JD people are the most brand loyal. I know the farmers around here who use JD tend to be pretty avid about it. The guy who rents from me collects the things, has JD hats, shirts, decorations in the house, signs on his truck, etc. I wouldn't be surprized if he dyes his hair green some day. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Then again, the place I ordered my tractor from sells Case, Cadet, and Kubota. The guy I worked with readily admits that he has a personal feeling that tractors should be International Harvester Red. He'll happily sell Kubota's and sells more of them than the Case, but he prefers sell Case just because they had red tractors on his farm when he was growing up and that's what they run now. It would be interesting to know how the Ag companies managed to develop such fierce brand loyalty among their customers. There are probably more than a few auto execs who would pay to know the secret.
