That pump that I have it turns the PTO at 400 RPMs, but the shaft is a one and a half to one so my blades are spinning at 600 RPMs it works better on it than it did on my yanmar tractor
It cuts under her brush really well briars and tickets. You just raise it up over the top of them said the blade at a 45 degree angle so it doesn’t kick debris back at you and just set it down and it just chews it right up.

If I remember correctly, I bought that at the surplus center the yolks were bought at my local agricultural store. They were for my PTO on this particular brush hog.

I dont know why PT doesn’t use normal gull wing blades bolted to a stump jumper like this. Looks like you angled the PT plate enough to point the deck away from the operator, too. How does your PT handle this setup without any wheels on the cutter like PT puts on theirs?

Your photos give me some ideas for my bush hog. I would like to fix the quick attach plate at an angle like yours, so that I can come down on top of a brush pile like yours can. I have the PT bush hog. I already added the stump jumper and gull wing blades.

WOW ! Nice.
I suggest you locate a 4 yoke equivalent CV joint instead of the 2 joint unit. This because ANY misalignment along the axis connecting the shafts will introduce a torque variation that will fail a bearing, shaft, or seal, or even the mounting plate. Your installation is begging for a tri-pod joint to be put there from a front-wheel drive car's outer driveshaft.

Did you drill out a standard stump jumper to bolt up to the PT center drive?

I’m going to put a set of wheels on the front and the back of it that like casters that swivel I haven’t gotten them yet, but I just float it on the big brush and stuff right now. I’m going through the woods cut and I just let it float about 3 inches above the ground and let it cut

Yeah, I took it to a Machine Shop and they drilled out those holes to attach it. I’ve been using it now for a few years and it works out well.

That was years ago now, and I remember I googled “stump jumpers”and came up with the size that I have. Next week I can measure the stump jumper and the blades for you. I do know where I got the bolts for it because I have that saved in a file.
