THIS IS JUST AWFUL...

At one time, I always worried about my ROPS hitting the bottom of the garage door if it didnt open all the way. It wouldnt have taken my lifes savings to fix, but i still worried about it. Now, we have a new barn which I now have a rediculous amount of clearance in and a whole 12x40 bay for my machinery. In the first picture, the top of my ROPS is level with the top of the windows. :D:p I am pretty lucky. :D

First time posting on this forum so be gentle on me. Just bought a brand new BX25 the other day and upon getting it home (in the dark) I went to back it off the trailer not realizing the kid at the dealership put one more tie down on the right side attaching to the foot peg for the backhoe. As I backed up, the strap caught under the right rear tire and bent the foot peg right underneath the ram for the backhoe feet. I felt like such a schmuck. Turned out ok though, I took a crow bar and "gently" bent the foot peg back into position. Only problem is that fancy powder coat paint is chipped in a tiny spot now. Yeah, I know, putz move on my part. BTW, I love that thing already.

If you hit something getting in or out of there, you need to lay off the bottle.

I ran into the garage door too except I bent the steel track with the loader while backing out. It took me at least two hours of careful bending and hammering before I could get the garage closed.

Just last week I broke off the right rear light from my trailer with the mounting bracket and all. I was lazy to move trailer and lazy to go around the apple tree on the other side.
Had to weld up the bracket properly (now it will not break for sure) and buy new light.

My tractor is always outside. Hasnt caused any problems yet. I dont care if I dent or chip the paint on it. I got it for work, not to be a garage queen. Once you bang it uo a little bit, then you'll love it even more cause you wont worry about getting down and dirty with it.

The first ding hurts the worse. I have often said it is best to just take a hammer to a new one as soon as you get it and get it over with. I do try to be reasonably careful with my equipment, but as someone else said, I buy them to work.

I had a friend that took that thinking for real. He used to be a painter.

Whenever he got a new pair of painters whites, the first thing he would do when he got to the job with the new ones one - He would open any container of paint that was handy and get some paint on his index finder. He then smeared the paint on the new pants.

When he got a new truck, he took his hammer and dinged the bottom of the bed so he wouldn't be afraid to use the truck for work.

If you look at our tractor, it is obvious that we use it :D
