To those of you who have made warranty claims over this issue -
How have you convinced your dealer (or yourself for that matter) that your particular issue is due to a defect and not just a good old fashioned pin prick? I'm considering bringing my wheel in (I'm a member) and wanted to be prepared when the dealer says "well, you probably just ran over a honey locust branch."

I really didn't have to convince my dealer fortunately. I had it in for the initial service and had them look at it and when no one could figure it out they kept giving me new tire/wheel combos until I got one that didn't leak. I am very lucky to have a good dealer as I would have paid for a new tire and wheel combo before accepting a tube as a warranty fix.

If the leak started within the first month or so of ownership and you don't have honey locust trees, then ask them to fix it under warranty. They may tell you to take it to a tire shop and see if a reason for the leak can be found. If no leak can be found then the dealer should pay for the trip since they could very well pump it up and put it in a bucket of water to check for a hole, bad rim or bad stem. I did not ask for a new wheel. I asked for a tube and my dealer, Barlows, fixed it for me under warranty. This is one of those depends on your dealer and if they tell you otherwise they are not being 100% truthful to you. I've had my BX2660 for almost a year but it has always lost air in the right front tire, I just didn't take it off and take it in till I unwrapped:) my air impact wrench. If the dealer or tire shop finds something in the tire or paint knocked off of a dented rim, expect to pay for all costs yourself.

Include me in the RF flat tire club and also a club member from Pennsylvania. Haven稚 fixed it yet.

:( uh, hello, my name is John, and I have I RF flat tire problem on my '09 BX25.There, I said it! I would have never of thought to take it to the dealer for a warranty fix though. This is on an R4 tire. Guess I'll have to check the pressure in the turf tires while I'm in the shed. Can I join your club?::eek:

KUBOTA SUCKS at times!!!!!

Today I got another front flat tire on my BX24....The other tire has slime (thank god)...

This one, front right, had the valve stem come right off when I tried to check tire psi...WTF

My old 22 did not have this issue......

I was a member from Pennsylvania as well, but mine was due to hole in the sidewall that I plugged unsuccessfully. After dealing with the leak for a year, one of my rear tires went flat. I slimed them both, and they've held for a couple of weeks now.

For now, I'm sold on the slime. I've used pre-slimed tubes on the wife's tractor and garden trailer for some time, and always had success with those.

Maybe it's some thing in the air?????:D

or some thing not in the air?????

tom

Well, that's what happens when people don't get their air from Kubota. I tell you that use of non-approved air is risky thing, that I might try once my warranty is up, but until then, it is just good insurance to get my air at my Kubota dealership.
