Interesting, but just quickly skimming the article, I'm not finding anywhere that they disproved the tale of killing a dog with a frozen poopsicle. The original story didn't have the Inuit making a good knife out of poop, just something sharp and durable enough to kill one dog. I could probably do that with a piece of dried pasta, of sufficient length and girth.
