I'm looking into putting up an outside antenna next Spring. That will allow me to at least get rid of the up-charge for locals.

I used antennaweb.org previously to set my antenna in the best possible location. It used to have a satellite view so that your home was pictured and you could test the antenna in various locations of your home and it made a big difference at my home according to which part of the home I placed it by. But now they no longer have a satellite view and you can not preciously place your antenna in the best position.

In my work building I get very poor FM radio reception but get a pretty good OTA TV reception with 'rabbit ears'. I'd like to find a good antenna for FM radio. AM radio is pretty good.

I have a 60 ft tower on my house that allowed me to receive everything I wanted.
Problem is when TV went all digital I lost most stations as range was greatly diminished.
LOL, I accepted a bit of 'snow' as long as I could view the programs.
Digital is perfect or nothing so I now have a satellite.
Guess that's progress.
(Actually it was to give more frequencies to cell phones.)

We have fiber optics up to about 1 mile from us but that's only for phone lines , they say.
I know other options exist but for now I wait as a lot of pressure is being made to give total service in the area.

The phone co's always await grants to provide what is described as 'essential service' to rural areas.
OK. I'm rural (LOL 1 hour north of Montreal, Canada's 2nd major city.)
It is all about RIO, (return on investment) but up north in the Eskimo boonies they have hi speed while just north of Montreal all the can offer is dial up!
WTF!.
They await federal grants is what it is all about.
