Ok, no photo - but I admire this person's approach.
Here's the ad... "Seeking farmer or homestead hoarder. Must take all

Only for hoarders. You know who you are. Available - a lot of crap I don't even care about anymore. Store and hoard for more years or reuse/resell. only available TODAY - Saturday then going to dump.

you will need 18ft trailer and or rented large uhaul. if you don't have this DON'T reply.

Old appliances (all working and need to be cleaned)
small farm stuff - row covers, weed barrier cloths, pallets, coolers, farm signs, other crap"

I hate when they say Must Take All... They say it's going to the dump anyway, wouldn't it be nice to get a few things removed? Lighten the load a bit oh, yea, there is no way they will actually haul it to the dump! Way too much work...

I had not thought of this approach to get someone to come and clean up my mess.
I wish I had thought of that after Dad had passed.

The load in this photo is mostly insulation that Ivy grew into while it was stored under the house for 30 years. I carried off six loads of random chaos like this before I even got to stuff that was worth bartering in the used-tool store. Then I had my kids sell two trailer loads at the flea market. (For one load I paid them wages to clean and sort stuff but didn't recover that cost from the flea market sales). 15 years of sorting usable but unneeded duplicate tools etc and I'm still at it. For hand saws, hand-drill braces, spokeshaves, Skil circular saws, anything past three or so is too many!

I've joked many times that Dad would visit every yard sale he could find as they closed Sunday afternoon and offer $5: "For everything remaining - you don't really want to store that stuff that is now proven unsalable, do you?" :). 40 years of that and we had quite a collection here.

Part of his strategy had a purpose: he obtained usable matching spares for all the ancient stuff in this century-old farmhouse. As I've had to make repairs, I have a stock of matching new T&G flooring, lap siding, faucets, etc to work from. But I'm still clearing out things I've decided I'll never use. Like the stack of three big shop workbenches that I took out of the barn, to re-purpose that stall as covered parking for the second tractor.

I can identify with the guy who posted that CL ad.

At least they dont try and describe their junk as valuable.

Seeking farmer or homestead hoarder. Must take all - farm & garden - by owner - sale

Wow, yes a farmer and Homestead horder are definately the same type people... NOT! Good greif people think farmers are a bunch of junk dealers I guess.

Most of the farmers I know have the nicest crap and have no use for someone else's junk.

I once spotted this picture in a CL ad from IA: View attachment 472052 The poster had tried to block out the two trailers behind the Snowco. I posted my own ad in the same CL area that this trailer was not for sale & was setting in my drive in MO, the original ad was deleted the next day!

During August of last year, when we had the total solar eclipse in the US, I had ordered (10) pairs of the solar eclipse sunglasses for about $1 each on the Walmart website. I ordered them about a year ago, well in advance of the eclipse. So, a week before the eclipse they were selling for $5/each. A couple days before it, the price went up to $10/each, so I sold 3 pairs on CL for $25 to a woman not far from here. So I'm always checking CL, and it wasn't a few hours later she had put two of them back on CL using MY EXACT SAME PICTURE!. Nothing really wrong with that, but some people are just that lazy, I guess.
