Will there be a time limit for viewing some of the earlier threads? Or do you intend to have them always available? The reason I ask is that if there will be a shelf life on old threads I had better start making copies of the ones I wish to keep.

Our plan as of now is to keep going with all the threads in the current format... that is, so you can still reply to them, regardless of the age.

If it gets to be too much of a strain on the server, we would break the old posts (probably older than 1 year) off into some archives, and then have those searchable just like they are now, but you wouldn't be able to respond.

And of course, we would give fair warning before any major change like that took place.

Seems like the threads stay forever but I can't view older attachments to threads.

Do they dissolve after a while?

Attachments from 2000 were taken off the server for space restrictions on our old server, but when we went to replace them, there were some problems with files names that kept us from restoring them. We don't plan to remove attachments in the future...
