So I work in the legal field and deal with custody cases..... had a father (who is crazy and trying to get custody) tell me that if he does not get custody he would hold me personally responsible.

Now I get told that thing quite a bit..... and don't really care.

However with him, I happen to know the psychologist that did the Court ordered eval on him (and one on the mom too).... so I called psychologist to see if I should take that as more of a physical threat than just words. His answer was "I hope you are exercising your second amendment rights".

Well...... I am now. It so happens that I recently applied for a carry permit. So for my recent birthday I bought a Glock 26. Went to the range today and put the first 100 rounds through it. Had some nice groupings. I am a lefty and was shooting down and right, so I have to watch how much trigger finger I am using.

In any event I just needed to vent.

Oh and the protective order will be filed Monday. Interesting under Indiana law I can not get one for myself because he has only threatened me once. I need to show a pattern of stalking. However my employer can get one if my employer thinks the violence may happen at work. The PO can then protect me and my family and order the dirt bag to stay away from my home and place of employment.

Since my employer is like a father figure to me.... well you get the drift.

Life, ain't it grand.

Keep your powder dry!

My wifes in the judicial system and has been threatened a couple of times the last few years. Thankfully, no one acted on the threat. Be well and one in the tube....

Your Glock will protect you better than any PO will.

Less grip strength with the left hand, more with the right for a lefty shooting right. Trigger centered on the first pad of the index finger is usually a good place to start and adjust from there. the shooting low is usually an indication of tightening the grip as you operate the trigger. Establish grip & isolate the trigger finger. Do NOT increase grip pressure once the trigger starts moving back. Yeah, I've done this once before.........

Yep, but the PO establishes that I had reason to be afraid before I pull the trigger.

Yep. I was in the prosecutor's office back in the day, so have been through instruction by the local PD's instructor. Just practice makes perfect. Have to think about the hand in a different way. Also a different mindset to carry.

Thanks for the reinforcement though.

Always one in the tube.....

And living in a must issue state is a nice thing at this moment.

I carry a G26 also... nice. Hope you never need it, but glad you have it.

Our state legislation just passed 'no permit required' concealed carry starting next month...

Yeah I have shot a lot of different pistols. The Glock 26 just seems to be my favorite. The 9mm load for me is the best balance of power and ability to control the recoil.

I hope I never need it either. However, as do most of the members here, we live out the middle of nowhere so 911's response time is not going to be the greatest.
