Three point hitch

I am trying to find the power rake as well, even though I have a big one (Harley PRO 8). Yes, they are pricey and hard to find.

This stone filled roller weighs a lot and is probably a bit much for the machine. I was rolling grass seed and turned coming out of a hill just a little too soon. It pushed the machine out from under me. My first tractor rollover (kind of) ever.

When I click on the attachment link, I get an error message.

so does that mean that a ventrac or steiner might be able to pull a small harrow or blade? anyone out there had any experience? i mainly ask because i have a gravel driveway that requires scraping, i would love to own the power rake but they are expensive. i would also like to use a harrow to plant food plots for deer.

I have been thinking about adding a 3 point hitch on mine. They are cat. 1 by the way and have been looking at rear blades with off set and a box blade?jim

I have a 3-point hitch on my Ventrac 4500Z and several 3-point implememts. The most useful are those designed for carrying and lifting applications such as the pallet forks as compared to draft applications such as box blades and scraper blades. The most fundamental issue is that the tractor is built so low to the ground for stability when mowing on slopes that the 3-point hitch arms are only about a foot off the ground when horizontal in the normal working position for draft applications. Most 3-point box blades, scraper blades, plows, disks, and cultivators are designed for much higher hitch points. So even though it is possible to attach them by adjusting the lift links, the result is the implements cannot be lifted very high for transport. Often this can be overcome by using a hydraulic top link. I do use an EA 4 foot box blade and an EA 6 foot rear blade, but they only work because of the hydraulic top link to tilt the implements for adequate ground clerance. The tractor has no difficulty handling these implements.

Ouch. How did you get it upright? Any damage to the tractor? Did you have to remove fluid from the combustion chambers?

Industrial Toys, I reckon we are safe to assume that roller is full of ballast.

When I was a lad of 13 we harvested our own hay. Our International 424 tractor was 2WD. We had a long open platform trailer 8'X20' which steered by the front axle as you towed it. I had a good bit of freshly bailed hay on the trailer and had some more to load out of the lower field. The lower field was, well, lower and it sloped at about 20 degrees. 2WD tractor with AG tires going down hill with heavy trailer pushing. OH WHAT A RIDE I went for when the weight transferred to the front tires of that tractor. It was a large field with no obstacles, so I got it stopped eventually. Jack warns of that kind of thing in one of the online videos.

It is a cat 1. Not sure of the lift spec at the ends of the draft links though.

I have duals and should have used them. Never even crossed my mind. For the steepest sections, I was backing up the hill.

The tool box got slightly bent and I have yet to figure out a way to make it near perfect. How does one take take out a crease?

I uprighted the machine and let it sit for a while. Then disconnected the fuel solenoid and cranked the engine to make sure it did not have a hydraulic lock. No harm done.
