Three Point Trailer Hitch Reciever

I have been thinking about getting a hitch the junk yard to make one.

TSC has the drilled receiver tube for $13. They call it a 2-1/4 to 2" reducer but it's good enough for my use. They also have receivers for welding onto a bumper for $25 or so.

You can buy 2.5" od 3/16" wall square tube at your local steel yard and build as many receivers as you want onto any implement. I know it's not cheap but unless you have one laying around for free, it's not a bad option.

Yeah, I can usually find the 'weld on' type hitch reciever tubes for around $12 - $14 around here. They are handy for making things so I try to keep one or two hanging around. I used three on my skidsteer QA thing-a-ma-bob I made a couple years ago. Very handy for shuffling the trailer around the yard, picking up logs, or whatever.

My neighbor borrowed my hitch reciever a couple weeks ago to move his trailer with his Massey....... figured he'd like one of his own.

I'll let him paint it whatever color he wants.

I did the same with hitch off my old van.

I did the same thing too, with a hitch I bought off of CL. :thumbsup: (The pins were turned temporarily while I was building it).
