Three point trencher

I just came across this and thought it might be of some interest. It's a three point trencher for 35-45 HP 4WD compact utility tractors with HST. Just click here to take a look at it.

Any idea why they're specifying a hydro? (Wondering if they're using that for a generic term for compacts?)

Trenchers move really slowly - 1st gear on a mechanical is often too fast.

I have a Kelly hydro-trencher attachment for my YM2220D. If the grounds not too hard creeper works fine. If its hard I have to keep shifting in and out of gear with my powershift which does work but its not ideal. I only use the trencher for my own use, but it works great for planting trees and bushes.

I called Baretto for pricing and they said the price is $8500 without the chain. Chain is a few hundred. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I have creeper with powershift which divides the tranny by 3 forward, nuetral and 1 reverse. I've only found one job I couldn't do and found out with my backhoe that it used to be a driveway (50 years ago). The teeth on the hoe bucket smoked in some places. On the very hard soil the by-pass valve on the trencher opens which is not the tractors fault with the exception of ground speed. Sorry for rambling.

How much is that one? Is 30" the MINIMUM digging depth?

Bradcos run in the $5,000 range. You still need HST and no more than 30 pto hp to make it work well.
