Have the tractor split (first for me) and the clutch removed. No real problems yet. I can not find a video or site to tell me how to remove the bearings, throwout and piviot (the one at the fly wheel). All I have seen is a hammer, that is a little scarry for me.

Anyone have advise or pix?

throwout should just slide off, pilot you can use inside bearing puller or small bolt with a washer that just fits in side of bearing on a slide hammer or pack it full of bearing grease and use a punch or dowel of some sort that is just a hair small than inside bearing dia. keep packing in the grease and it will pop bearing out, make take several tries

Thanks whis,
I will try the puller on the pilot, but the throwout is on good. I have read a bunch of postings and all use a hammer. I will continue working with it.

Any idea why it would be stuck on the hub so bad? Should i be looking for another problem?

G'day it sounds to me like you have the bearing and hub off the tractor? Sit the assy upside down in a vice so that the back of the bearing is supported on the vice jaws and the carrier is hanging down into the vice, now grab a socket that is slightly smaller than the inside of the bearing and use ut to punch the carrier out with a hammer. To fit the new bearing if you don't have a press mate the bearing up to the carrier and put it in the vice so the face of the bearing is against one jaw and the back of the carrier on the other then close the vice up and it should press the bearing on for you just be careful that it is going straight , sometimes you have to back the vice off and rotate the assy to get it to press on straight.

Hope this helps

Thanks Jon,

I will give it a try. Looking at it this morning, it looks a little cockeyed on the hub. We got the tractor used and the past owner said he had replaced the clutch. We put 7 hr. on it and there was nothing left. With only 145 hrs something is not right. Everything else looks good. I am thinking operator is ridding the clutch. Anyother ideals???
