firefighter offers good points when looking for a trailer for BX. I can tell you that mine is 16ft and the BH doesnt get hung up on it, I just need to extend the boom that is all.

Obviously you don't want to need dirt banks all the time to load unload...Sounds like you might need longer ramps, or a beaver tail trailer.
I have a dovetail trailer and still have the same issue.

Don't have pictures, but this is what I've done: Two 12' long 2 x 12's, one for each side. I cut them NOT in half, but into 7' long and 5' long pieces, each side. I then screwed the 5' long piece to the 7' long piece a little forward of center.

When I use the ramps, I don't put them at the top of my trailer's steel loading ramps, rather at the center. Once I get to the portion of the ramp, the tractor is sufficiently off the ground that the BH doesn't drag.

I've unloaded many, many, many tons of stone and mulch using this arrangement and have never had any issues. The ramps don't bend and are light enough to be tossed in the trailer during transport.

And it's crying for some paint ! :D

Im going to have it Rhino-lined. I push 8 aluminum picnic tables around with the brush guard when mowing so it will add a litle protection:D
