(2) concerns with the Kubota: (1)Front end is not as robust as JD. I plan on using the FEL quite a lot and over time, say 20 yrs, I fear it may not hold up as well as JD. (2) Exhaust stack is now sitting right in the line of sight and there is no option to move it. On the M40 series cabs it was corner post mounted, I believe. On the plus side, I can see the FEL bucket over the hood better on the Kubota.
The 3PH lifting power of the JD E series is very light compared to the Kubota. JD uses the "rock shaft" on the "E" while Kubota uses the external cylinders. If money was not an issue, I would go with the M series JD. I may look around for a used, low hour 5085M or 5100M, preferably a pre-tier 4, but I doubt there are any bargains to be had.

I bet the front end on the Kubota is just fine.
I like the exhaust stack off the cab personally, regens will keep the heat off glass etc. not sure if its an issue. I'd get the Kubota over the m series, but that's just me. Only you know what you are doing with it, one of these machines is better suited.

Loader work, level ground, mowing grass etc. Kubota.
Tillage, rutted property like mine that needs a box blade with stumps, traction, large axles to hold up, maybe you need the Deere.

Maintenance intervals seem longer on Deere, and my dealer said the 553 loaders are replaced by the h240 loaders now. You need a ram3500 or a tundra? Maybe you would be best served with a Kubota as big or bigger than the E, that seems to be the 9960 and up.

Actually, I may be wrong, some loader applications may need more weight, so like I said, its what you are doing with it.
Don't forget the gear shifting is much smoother on the Kubota as well. PR I didn't notice a difference. Plus you get 6 gears with Kubota.

I have been looking at / pricing the NH T4.105 and CaseIH Farmall 105C cab units the past couple of weeks. I really like the cab and interior layout of these machines. They are as heavy as the JD "5E" series with more standard features and some cool options; specifically a sun roof that opens for ventilation. Pricing is mid 50's equipped with 665TL FEL, 3rd function, 3 rear remotes, 12x12 power shuttle, buddy seat, sun roof, 18.4xR34 rears, rear wiper. Another thing I like is the sloping hood that let's me see the FEL much better. Giving these serious consideration.

I am getting real close to pulling the trigger on a new NH T4 series tractor. The production of these started in Italy, but it has been moved to Ankara Turkey. There are still a few of the Italian made ones out there. A dealer that I have been negotiating with has located an Italian made T4.105. It has most everything I want except the 540E PTO - it does have the 540 / 1000. I think I would prefer the Italian made over the Turkey made but I don't know if the 540E PTO is something I really need. I will be mowing, baling, feeding round bales, clearing - 100 to 200 hrs / year. The E PTO might save some fuel when doing light mowing since the engine is turning approx. 1525 RPM for the 540 speed on the implement. As for the mower, it will come later, but it will probably be a 10' or batwing. I appreciate any advice and comments.
Thanks

I was in the same boat 3 years ago and ended up the with 5083E deere. The 1700lb weight difference and 0% for 72 months sure made alot of sense in my mind. That weight isn't in the cab and fenders if you get what I'm saying. Engineering is fine, but I'll take the margin of safety. I have been steadily adding weight to the tractor now, I'm sure glad I didn't start out lighter. Currently have filled rears and wheel weights, and I still have to run a counter weight to use the full capacity of the 563 loader.
