Hi,
I have the KK 60" behind my L3410 HST. It has never had any problems with breaking new sod or any soil type from clay to sand. It has taken a BEATING as the clay soil is full of rocks from the last glacier. The slip clutch is a blessing when you are bouncing off of rocks, stumps and finding roots and branches. I don't think I could even carry enough shear bolts to do a days work in some places!
I bought the 60" as the sales person thought the 27 hp PTO was a better match. Maybe, but I think that were I to do it again, I would get the 72". Worse case you have to slow down a bit for the first pass.
I would definitely say to not get the 50" unit. You will be out there all day and have lots of time to think about the other things you could be doing if you used a tiller that was 50% wider...
