We used the single axis but now since the double axis came out I'm wondering. If you use the tilt meter on your own property you will quickly learn what and where to stay away from. From that point forward you will rely on the meter less and less.

Still very handy in my opinion.

Bob, I bought my first one before they had the dual axis; had it mounted for side to side tilt, of course. Then later I found they had one I liked even better, so I got it, mounted it for side to side, and re-mounted the original one for front to rear. So, if I were buying now, I'd probably just get the dual axis.

Bird, Mike, either one of you have fore/aft tilt anxiety?
Bob

PS Side to side I can relate to, front to back, not yet (need more time)

I live on a hill and when I first bought my JD, I went to WalMart and bought the small bubble level 2/99 cents.
I drove my tractor on an incline sideways where I felt the most comfortable and affixed a level on each post of the FEL.
I kept an eye on the level to ensure that I didn't exceed MY limit. That was 3-4 years ago and now being familiar with my terrain, I very seldom look at it.
