My Pt-1445 has a tilt /level indicator on the lift arms. It is a rod that slides inside a pipe, and gives indication of tilt. Does anybody else have that on their machine?

I have one on the 1430 but I don't use it cause I think it would only be useful on flat ground or a consistent slope. of course, it could be , that I just don't know how to use it. I just use the back of the bucket as an indicator.

I had one on my FEL on the IH2500B. That big tractor with the engine out front made it all but impossible to see where the bucket was. I had to watch the lift arms for that little hesitation between up/flat/down whjen curling to guess where the bucket was. Not a problem on the PT425 with forward operator postition. I can just look at the bucket most of the time.

How about a pic of that level? With my large red bucket it would be handy

I've got one on the 1430 also.

I'd like to see pics also, since my PT 425 doesn't have one.

I've found them to be helpful when trying to do "finish work" and trying to be more precise.

I have the same red mark on my rod on the 1430 but could not figure out how to use it either........

The way I use the rod indicator is to level the bucket close to the ground with a level. I then mark the rod with red or white paint at some point for reference. One could also rig up some electronic level with a led indicator to show level. A simple device would be a mercury switch to light the led . This will only work on level ground, but is better than nothing.
Two inclinometers would work also. one on bucket, one on frame of PT.

What we have on the PT now is a mechanical device to indicate level if set up correctly.

Count me in on a 2445. Don't use it though, maybe I'll have to try, but many years of just looking at the bucket (and your convient position on a PT) is hard to break.
