Mark, Bird and Rick, Tiltmeter makes a model 50 meter that reads both fore and aft as well as side side. There have been times when going nose down a hill I have wondered whether the hill was ok to traverse across sideways. With only a side to side meter, it looks like one would have to at least start to go sideways to get a fix on the hill angle. This seems like a hairy way to find out whether the hills angle is within the 15 deg. range often quoted as a safe max. Would a fore and aft meter, used in a nose down probe test, give an accurate indication of hill angle? If angle of hill, nose down test, is beyond 15 deg, no point in trying the sideways on the hill maneuver. Not yet having got meter, I have no clue as to the above babble makes any sense. What do you guys think.
By the way, do you feel that the 0 to 25 expanded scale meter, although not color coded, makes more sense in an application where 15 deg is considered max safe sideways angle.
It seems that they only way bubble will ever get to numbers 25 to 50 is when the tractor is already on it's way to a tip.
What do you think??
thanks again,
george
