I have the TW3HD, and it needs more than 16 to have full power... But 32 PTO hp tractor should run it just fine... I assure you, 16hp isn't going to cut it!! I run mine "most of the time" on my 30 PTO Deutz and with really tough crotches, the governor kicks in a bit, but with everything else it doesn't even slow down one bit...

I've run a tw3 on a kubota b3030 for years ~23 pto hp. It has never stalled the tractor. I've split up to 30" oak. The tw3 HD has a larger diameter cylinder. The cycle time is well faster than I can keep up with. Being a single speed pump, it never slows down. Weight is a concern with birth units, even the non HD is HEAVY. Either of these units will outperform all but the most serious standalone units. The HD has a slower cycle time due to the larger cylinder
