Hi OBE,

They must have a product that I don't see on line, as I don't see anything on their web page that compares to a TW5.

TW5 beam is more than strong enough, has a more powerful 5" cylinder, bigger motor, nicer table and you don't have to unhook from the tractor when splitting. Also, you don't have to dig the tongue out from under the splits when you want to move the splitter, also a REALLY HD 4-way wedge comes with the 3HD and the TW5... That's just the things that are important to me in a splitter... I didn't choose my splitter on price or speed alone, I'm sure my splitter will last the rest of my life and if I do ever want to sell it, TW's have excellent resale...

There are LOT's of splitters on the market, and each of us have different needs, so a TW that I like, may not work for someone else...

American cls has option for a tow hitch on both sides n wish I would of got it for the reason u mention, TW has model TW5fc fc for fast cycle has a 4" prince cylinder if u look at their brochure online, I have a 4 way wedge n 13 hp Honda engine, I got to test ride both tw n American n it was a tuff choice both have great craftmenship, cls gave me more choices on the cylinder, I got 2"x4"x30" cylinder n 17 gal hydraulic reservoir, when I get a chance I will post some pictures, u got a real nice splitter.

I have opportunity to buy a used TW3 with very low hours. I figured it was because it was too much for the guys tractor and he traded it in. If my kioti will run it and it is reliable i would be happy. The price is right in line with a new huskie 35ton top of the line from my local TSC.

the kioti dealer that is right by me sells the american brand. I will stop in there today and see what they have in stock. I like that TW3 though. fast cycle time for a cheap price.

That option would NOT interest me, as I want the power of the 5" cylinder. The fact that I can keep my 4-way wedge on, and push EVERYTHING through, more than makes up for the slightly slower cycle time!

Even stringy, knotted up oak goes right through the 4-way!

AND that 4-way is a real time saver! I wouldn't want a splitter without it!

BTW, the wedge on the 3HD is 12" tall, and that really helps with the BIG blocks...

It would have been simple enough to just raise it with
the really stubborn blocks and break them up
