Time to file KTAC claim

Correct. This appears to be an insurance claim. Call KTAC at 800-348-5802 to file a claim and then get the equipment to your dealer (KTAC covers transportation under the policy). The dealer and our claim rep will take it from there!

Thank you, Brian. One of the reasons I have the insurance is because of you being active and helpful here on the forum.

Thank you, prichard! I appreciate the kind words. Even though we don't approve 100% of claims submitted, we do believe in doing what is right (I live by the Golden Rule). We do our best so (hopefully) KTAC isn't a reason for Kubota owners to look elsewhere.

OK, I guess I mistook warranty for insurance claim. I'm glad you are getting it back so quickly.

Ouch. As they looked closer the realized that the transmission housing is cracked. Looks like it'll be down a while.

That's a bummer but good thing you have the insurance.

And when insurance is involved, it gets fixed right. As much as I despise extended warranties, good insurance policies on certain things make your day those few times when shiit happens.

Extended warranties on the other hand aren’t worth it to me. Save your money on all the extended warranty offers and if one in ten of your purchases fails, you saved enough for a new one.

My old car finally accumulated enough miles so that the extended warranty company wouldn't write me another extension. Although there wasn't much warranty work done in the 22 years, the extended warranty was worth it to me just for peace of mind. And of course the car still looks and runs good as a result. I will say that the motor is getting pretty old, and unfortunately the extended warranty quit covering that about eight years ago.

Financially, if I had paid out of pocket for the minimal repairs through the years it probably would have cost twice what the warranty did - but of course that same amount of money invested in just about any financial market anywhere would still have been a better deal. That's probably how insurance agencies make their money.

If I could buy an extended mechanical policy on our Kubota M59 I'd probably do so. I did buy Kubota's Warranty Extension - which is different from insurance - back when it was new, but the only thing to go wrong was a factory recall on one hydraulic cylinder that was covered by warranty anyway.

Over a week now since shop submitted to KTAC and word back on approval. That doesn't make me feel exactly warm and fuzzy. I have work to do and need the tractor. :(

You know how when you make predictions they always turn out to be wrong?

I think it's going to be awhile before you get your tractor back. They'll have to order the housing.....
