I came close to using it to get my septic tank down low enough but a rotary hammer and pins and wedges and time got me there
the 1 1/2 hole size was my issue couldent find rotary bits for my hammers that size and rental places close by didnt have any bits or hammers either.

Well, I'm not so sure about that. Only time will tell. I do know that my tree guy gave him a very attractive and responsive bid. I also got some feedback that bids are slow coming in... in fact my proposal, despite being a day late, was apparently the first groundwork proposal he's received.3RRL said:

But I am a talker and my old engineer's confidence comes from an entirely different place... that of knowing where and how to get the best solutions (including places like TBN!) rather than knowing it all myself. It turned out that this client was a talker too. We "bonded" over a discussion of all the different approaches other bidders had told him they would take. I then took a wildly different approach and he loved it. I offered to give him a complete menu of options, priced and fully discussed... pros and cons... not just on the mega-rocks, but on his entire project. The proposal went out today. I should know by next week whether this very different approach worked or not.

I only could find 2 1" pins and fethers sets and 2 sets of 1/2" ones locally.
Actually after I got going I think more of the 1/2" ones would have been better more holes but smaller holes. I did get one set stuck drilled around it with rotary hammer and tapped it sideways and it came out.
the things I learn't was drill your holes as deep as you can if you have to hit pins hard you need more of them.
