Tire chains for front axle

I'm running these on the front. They provide great lateral performance but I can't say anything about the ride. I've never run on pavement except pulling out of our shop with a concrete floor. But everything with chains seems rough to me, in a normal way.

Those are nice chains. For some reason they did not come up when I searched their site. I was thinking about those chains. I think they would have great lateral traction. They don't have very many cross links, so foward traction may not be that great.

I ended up ordering 2 square link spacing alloy chains.

I've actually built my own chains when I couldn't find what I want. Sometimes just add a row in between the others or what ever you like. Most farm stores have the cross links or what ever you require. Custom chains are do-able.

I am going to turn my rear chains into 2 link spacing. If I could figure out a way to do it I would all 2 rows running the circumference like the aqaulines.

I thought that may have been where you got yours. The pics on their website don't do them justice.

So far I really like them. I tried the tractor up a hill with snow on it and it did good. I also tried turning the tractor and it turned like it was on dry ground unlike the BX with ladder chains that pushes the front end.

Snow is probably over with for us espically since I got the tractors all chained up now. I may get different chains for the rear. I'll update the next time it snows.

Another thing I like about these chains is they are easier to put on than ladder chains.
