I am in NH and in need of spacers for two B2910's. What dealer sold them to you? Thanks Mike

MikeD,

I'm in NH, too. Mine came with the tractor, which I bought from Townline Equipment in Plainfield - 603 675 6347. I was going to check with them about their source for the spacers for Ron, but the weather kind of hosed that idea. Will try tomorrow.

Thanks for the information. I just ordered four spacers. Expensive but needed. Anyone needing spacers for a b2910 or 7800 --Townline Equipment at 603-675-6347 has them for $200 per spacers. It is a cast machined part which they say is a Kubota product under 70000-60112. The cost of shipping four of them was only $11. Thanks for your help. Mike

Jeepers, you beat me to the post. After we both called them the guys at Townline must be wondering what's going on with spacers!

Glad it worked out for you, Mike. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mike...why four? More than one tractor?

Any chance of you posting a picture of what they look like when you get them? Hope so... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My business partner and I went in on two b2910's. We each got our own loaders, mowers, and snow blowers but we share a back hoe, york rake, box blade, tiller, aerator, post hole digger. It lets us have access to a lot of implements at 1/2 the price /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif So when I need something for my tractor I usually need two. I will see what I can do about those photos. Mike

I called my dealer today with the wheel spacer number. That is an old number. Meaning it is the original numbers for the 8200, 9200 and 1750 spacers.
It’s probably the same spacer that I got from the Canadian dealer I bought mine from. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
My dealer’s price was $151 each. But he does not have any in stock. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Thanks to narcnh and you for the information. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks to all for the posts and references to earlier threads. You folks gave me everything I needed to talk intelligently to my dealer. I was a bit disappointed with him since I bought the tractor and chains (and rear blade) from him all at the same time. He shoulda told me about the spacer issue.

Anyway, at this point he's apologized, but all he can offer is to take the chains back or sell me spacers (with new studs) for $350 a set. Turns out he just go a set in, so I asked him if I could just take a look and measure them so I can make my own.

After I see them, I'll let you know what happens. I think I can get a local machine shop to make them for about half what the dealer wants. Also, I'll try to post a picture or a drawing or a source to purchase them.

Thanks y'all!

JMZ:
I bought a set of smaller spacers for my bx type and the cost was $85.
I'll bet a machine shop could make the whole deal for a lot less than 350.....sounds like his apology is a bit hollow. Customer relations would suggest that he give them to you at or below his real cost.

Sandy,
Do You by chance have the part number of Your spacers and bolts?
A lot of BX Owners might be interested in having the numbers.
Thanks,
Tom
