I have R4s on my
B2910, and need chains in the winter or even in the fall...on the slopes I have when they get soggy...
As a matter of fact I just put them on yesterday. I got them from tirechains.com as mentioned in that thread the Ron pointed at.
The cost was something like $250 if I remember right [including the better adjusters??]. You can go to their web site and get the price. There are not a lot of options for the tire size on the
b2910. Cross chains were about all that was available. I bought the two link ones.
They actually sent the next size up and I ended up shortening them. Not a big deal to do if you have bolt cutters, as the side chains are not hardened.
By the way, I put the chains on a little early this year as we are leaving on vacation this week and I wanted to have that chore out of the way before the cold weather gets here...
I guess the only way you can know if you need chains or not is to try it without and see what happens. One uncontrolled slide down a wet, soggy, grassy slope was all it took to convince me... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Clearance has not been a problem for me with the R4 tires. I don't have spacers on the wheels, but the r4s are not as wide as the turfs... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
