Tire question

I have an older Simplicity walk behind tractor that was my fathers. As near as I can tell it is a model FA or something very similar he purchased it used around 1958. The original tires are still on the tractor, one is still okay and one needs to be replaced. The tires on it are R-1 style 6 X 12.

Does anyone know if these tires are still available?

It looks like Carlisle still makes a 6-12 tire.

Check eBay -- there's several stores that sell them. In addition to Carlisle, several imported brands are also available, such as Nanco -- a very good tire.

I found a tire dealer around here that sells Carlisle tires. The warehouse had one in stock with a tube. Tire and tube cost me $55.00, can't complain too much about that price.
