tire rims

   / tire rims #21
Thanks again for the info. Here's a couple of examples of my dealings with rims. One was the rear rims on a Iseki TX1300F and the other is a front rim from a Satoh S373D with a loader. One front on the Satoh was replaced with a very different style but yet similarly dimensioned rim when I bought it and the one in the picture must have "passed inspection" (or didn't break yet) so it didn't get replaced. Kinda scary stuff. I'd hate to have a loaded trailer going downhill and have these rims break out on me. Even some used replacements I found were showing some initial signs of crack formation. A little thicker plate in the lug area is clearly in order.

Any time! Wow, thats scary, and looks a lot like the damage to my rim. I was actually very surprised at how thick these rims are. They are very heavy duty. I have been driving it with the broken rim, probably a bad idea, but as soon as I can, I am going to get this one mounted. I have a feeling that there is a exact match for the rear wheel as well from Kubota. I think that the company that makes these in Japan must sell them to several tractor manufactures. Glad I could help, there is also another variation that is the same pattern, see below. they claim that their rims are heavier duty than the OEM and they run $115. They look a bit different, but they are the same measurements. I just wanted my rims to match, since I only needed one. Otherwise I would have gone with this one if I had to order two. I will see what I can find for the back rims. Sparex makes rims for Iseki Models, but they won't fit the TX1300F, the center hole is 2.75 in on the TX1300F and the more common rim, is over 3in that they make. Thats why I had such a hard time. It took quite a bit of research, and measuring. I actually had to find the measurements in mm, and find the Kubota rim from a site in New Zealand, and then find the rim number, and locate it here in the US. I contacted Lens12, and he was great in trying to locate the rims. He was going to have to order them from Japan, and they were a quite a bit more for the OEM because of the shipping. I wanted to give him my business, and I feel bad but I just couldn't justify spending more money without my wife going through the roof, so I found these. Is the S373D's rims the same size as the TX1300F? Be careful on those old rims..

These guys have the rear rims, and they look like they are an exact match.
Coleman Equipment - Case, Kubota, Stihl - Sales, Rental, Parts & Service
Their website link does not work for pricing, but I called them with my other rim, and they were great, they wen't out to the yard and measured it. The rear rim for the TX1300F should be the same rim for the Kubota b7100HST-D old style, Not sure on the price, but it should be somewhat reasonable. You can also replace the center hub, but it looks like you need the whole rim.

This is their part information for the rear rim:

Yes, the Satoh 373 rims are the same dimensionally as the Iseki's. I think a lot of these tractor "brands" back then all had the same rim sizes.

I was able to source some used rims that are keeping me going. Always good to have a new source also and I'm sure some day I'll call on them.

Thanks again.

I had a quick question about your rear rims. Mine attach to the tractor with a bolt through the rear axel. This has loosened up, and fallen off even with a lock nut, and a lock washer. Is there a pin, or a clevis pin that would work better. Does anyone know what it had originally when they were sold? Thanks!

Mine have clevis pins (not sure on the size, probably around 7/8" diameter) with "hair pin" retainers on the ends. Probably something you should be able to find at Ace or Home Depot fairly easily I would think.

The rear bolt pattern & rims are the same on the S370-S470, G152-G174, & YM1300/ym1401. The front bolt pattern & rims are the same on the S370d-S470d & YM1300d/ym1401d. The G154-G174 fronts are different. I have several used rear rims. Some fronts, but used fronts usually aren't in as good a shape.

If you use a bolt on the rear hub, use a bolt in which the threads won't reach to the hub, so the bolt can move some. It won't freeze in the hole & wear on just one point. I'd use a stamped lock nut over the plastic insert style, if you 're having trouble with them coming off.

I'll need to compare the front rim patterns from the Satoh/Iseki. They look very similar, but I haven't actually measured them. I assumed they were the same.

Yup, the Satoh fronts have an 80 mm hub/120mm bolt circle. The Iseki has a 70 mm hub/100 mm bolt circle. Thanks Lens for pointing this out :)

Shoot, guess I can't edit my old post anymore. Sorry for putting up the bad info...
