Amazed to see I first posted here 3 years ago on a used tractor & still don't have one so visited a dealer I like & got a good price on B2320 HST w FEL, 4' bush hog, loaded tires + trailer. Way more $ than I originally was planning but after looking at used stuff forever its the way to go. It is very tough to find a nice used CUT FEL here. Even best I've found needed tire/rim change at minimum + was geared vs. HST I really should have. Most have some "issues".

Main use is working in/near woods (hogging) but I gotta move some dirt etc too. Need small as tight rough spots & honestly a BX is the right size but I'd tear it to pieces in the Canada bush with rock, beaver ponds/slash etc. so a B is called for. Didn't want to buy new as main use is in Ontario 800 miles from home but darn it all I'll use it in MI too. Have looked at/driven too many & even rented a NH/Ford 2620 for a day so got a feel for what's needed. No rental units where I mostly need it BTW.

Still some deciding to do on details but plan to order in June & haul up for first Canada use in August. Will get acquainted with it in MI before that. Been looking for a tractor for a long time, bought a truck that can haul it & gonna get this one before my storage building is even started.

Wife kinda freaked out @ $ but so tired of me talking about em she'd probably "approve" any dollar amount. Thanks for input here over the duration & more to come. I'm darned excited to be getting one & wish I'd done it years ago!

I know what you mean. I just took delievery of mine last week and it was worth the small difference from what I had seen used. I got the geared model but I was going for cheap. I won't use this 100 hours for years. I have used it twice working on some landscaping and have only put 1.5 hrs on it. It has been so hot over a 100 here everyday I only do one section or job then quit for the day. Being retired gives me time to play at playing.

You are doing the right thing. I wrote a BX - B review you might want to read. It's not a super long thread, but it'll give you some thoughts. The photos alone will keep you drooling until your machine is delivered.

Press hard on that price. Make the dealer throw in your five filters as a bonus when he won't budge any further. You are going to love that tractor. I call it the biggest BX of them all! :D:D

Congratulations on your new tractor, you sure won't regret it and will soon forget the cost.

If you are going to be trailering it back and forth to Canada with the brush hog, I would encourage you to consider an 18' trailer with tandem axels. I have a B2920 with a 16' trailer and it is ok until I am trailering with the FEL and 60" brush hog. Then I have about two ft hanging off the back. I could raise the FEL and put it up over the tongue of the trailer, but that moves the weight to far forward. The 18' one will give you more room to center the weight better over the axels. With the 48" hog, you won't be quite as long, but the two extra ft of trailer does not cost that much. I crossed from MI to Ontario a lot of times and you don't want any reason for those guys to hassel you.

Agree with the longer trailer. I bought my ride, about the same size as yours, with an 18 footer.

And as you can see it's only a little too big.

And that picture is with a box blade which does not extend near as far back as a brush hog. Nice trailer and rig by the way.
