you could take the electric guts from an oven and put them into a homemade insulated box to make your own larger powder coat oven.

The thermostat and heating elements are all you would need.

Bought this to control temp, it was cheap, think it should work.
Temperature Controller, 0-400Deg. C, Programmable | MPJA.COM I will then need contactor/relay of some sort to turn the heating elements on and off.
Bought the oven heating elements, four of them at 3100 watts, at 240 puts me at 52 amps, so I should be able to run it on 60 amp breaker, maybe trying 50amps as that is what the welder is already at, can always change latter.(yes, i know I will have to increase awg for the larger breaker) The question is will 4 3100 watt elements heat a 6 x 6 x 4 oven?

I'm using a 70 grit aluminum oxide. Like it, use small amount run through a couple time then turns into powder and pitch it. Apologize used bead blaster as generic term. Like the RAL powder, on the smaller oblong parts preheating works well, however, can't let parts cool, need to get back into oven. Been preheating to 200. Having the oven door open to the left did prove to be smart idea, your leaning in, and moving parts around and getting PMT temps a lot. Did get a small toaster oven for bolt heads that works real well. If i can fit it in my oven I'll never paint again. I will be
building a bigger oven. Will need better gun, leaning towards, powder 365's Nitro Faze cup gun. thanks
for the input.
You're off and runnin! 70 is a good size grit for prep. Are you in Reedsville WI?

I would like to get to 400 in 30 -40 min empty. It will be convection. Insulation wise it will be whatever I can get cost effectively in a 6" wall and doors. One large door one smaller door with window on the side. I need it the 6 x 6 x 4 to get particular part in otherwise I would send out. By not sending out it pays for cost to build oven. And that rationalize it all in my silly brain. Yes reedsville, wi

I'm just north of the city with an NFL team. I was going to throw away some powder that we haven't used in a while. PM me if your interested. I'm talking free-just come get it. Probably over 100 lbs of several different colors.

Came a crossed some epoxy powder. Supposed to be better with chemicals and much harder. I agree on the hardness you are hard pressed to scratch this stuff. I'm sold! The down side on the epoxy powder is it breaks down in sun light. So, I did the battery pan on the skid loader.
Here is the before which was done with a brushed on rustolem 2 years ago.

Here is after, good coverage and should be good test. Used same prep as other parts.

This will be an excellent test for the epoxy! Keep us updated. Someone told me that two weeks in the direct sunlite and it will start to chalk.
