Tires tires and rim for the 422/425

Has any one found a good place on the net to order tires and/or rims for the 422/425? I would like to have a set of bar tires mounted on rims for winter. It gets muddy her in the winter time and I could use the traction plus the bar tire would shed mud a lot better before I park it. I know one might have to order tires and rim seperate.

I find that the bars tires shed mud after being parked for a week in my garage. When I first move it the mud falls off on the garage floor. I still like them. I also have a lot of mud.

Let us know if you find someplace...although I remember reading somebody did previously post that the turf tires were actually very good in snow(my concern)...can see how bar tires would be needed in mud though.

What about a chain kit? I have turf tires. I am pretty confident in their ability as compared to the bar tires. However, I have a fairly long paved drive uphill. This will be my first winter here. I was thinking that I might want to tow the vehicles on icy days. Thought chains may help??

Well yes I have given chains some though but I was hoping we could find some bar tires and rims relatively cheep.
I think that power-trac wants about $200 for one tire and rim. $800 is a bit much for me.

Its good about the chains and all but let's try to find the bar tires and rims at a good price. I do have some military chains i can modify and use but i realy want some kind of bar tire. Thanks guys and lets keep trying.

I picked up 2 sets of 26x12x12 bar or lug tires from Ebay. I also picked up some tires and rims from a Ditch Witch. I also had a set of rims made at the local wheel factory, 3/8 plate for the center section.

The Power Trac PT-425 price list at www.powertrac.com says $125 per wheel and mounted bar tire.

That may be reasonable compared with buying and shipping wheels, buying and shipping tires, and then paying for mounting!!
