Some other things you might consider, the shortest valve stem you can find, and about a quart of slime in each tire. Bar lugs pointing forward and stem to the outside. good luck

Thanks JJ the tires came already mounted and the valve stems seem to be fairly short (only one vale stem in each wheel). I guess all in need to do is add the tire slime and install with them in the right rotation.

Where did you wind up getting the tire+wheel combo? I didn't see where CR Tire sold rims. Were you able to find a different vendor? I'm looking to get a set of turfs w/rims. Thanks.

Carlisle gave me info for the rims. so i could be sure to get the right ones

That's great. I thought when I gave you the CR Tire Co. link a few days ago, that CRT Co. only sold TIRES (at good prices). I didn't see anywhere on their website a place indicating that they also sell WHEELS /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. I re-checked it today, and I still don't see any wheels. I will have to call them, but I need a Carlisle wheel Part #.

What is the Carlisle Part # for the PT 425 wheels? Thanks.

Carlisle Tire & Wheel Company Carlisle part number is 1217394266 this info can be found on their site. under wheels. This number is what the rep form Carlisle said fit the PT 422/425

Not yet Moss. I just stacked them up and been looking at them. Hate to get them dirty you know.

Since I ripped the tire off the PT425 last weekend, I decided to tube it. I called TSC and they had tubes in stock. While I was there, I noticed a turf tire by Carlisle. It was 23X10.5-12, just like mine. Right next to it was a bar tread tire of the same size also by Carlisle.

Turf was $58.00 and the bar tread was $61.00. Tubes are $13 + change.

Just another source. They only had one of each, but I am sure they could order them.

P.S. I've never tubed a tire of this size before. I did it, but it ain't fun! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Good ovservation Moss. believe it or not I seen the same thing at the TSC store in Greeneville TN. Same price.
