Forks Titan (economy) Pallet Forks

That's a good observation. I knew going in that they had a 2,600 # rating and weren't adjustable. That isn't an issue for me as my primary interest is using it as a debris fork, and lifting well under it's rated capacity. For me it was a choice of not having any forks and having these. I'm a happy camper. Maybe at some point, I will buy a set of heavy duty/adjustable forks. In the meantime, I will happily use these. If I decide to upgrade, I'm thinking I can sell these for no loss.

They may not meet your needs, but on the other hand, you can have forks you can use today for not much money.

Very good choice considering your need. nice.

Yup, I weighed the use I'd get out of forks for 250$ vs the same use out of 600$+ forks and for me it was a no brainer. My fel will only lift 1680lbs so real heavy duty forks are not required.

Thats illustrates the point I am trying to convey, though it seems overlooked.

Its NOT $250 vs $600+

Its more like $250 vs $400.

Sure, there are alot of $600+ forks out there. But those of us using tractors (not skidloaders) and tractors under 50hp....you aint even gonna begin to tax a cheaper set of forks.

$400 buys a set of adjustable, 2800# capacity forks that weigh in at #300 and have actual class 2 forks.

Again, I can't argue with your logic. The other forks are also on sale at Titan. I made my choice on my needs and what I wanted to spend , for now. Like I said, I can always upgrade later if I choose. Plus, these savings let me start an AR15 build :)

I understand completely. Sounds like you got your priority in the right order too:thumbsup:

I only replied because too many people are comparing those non-adjustable tube forks @ $250 to actual forks @ $600 and its not a fair comparison. If that were to hold true, I'd probably own a set of those non-adjustable ones

Bit in reality, there are many "actual" forks out there in the $400 range.

Its alot easier to justify the extra $150 than $350 extra that many are claiming as justification for purchasing those titans.

I haven't found any adjustable forks for less than 600. Can you point me to some? Seriously might consider some.

Be careful with Titan. My experience is not so good. I purchased the economy forks on July 11 and they arrived about 7 days later missing a pin for one of the forks. Since then they have twice sent me the wrong pin. On the second one I had to keep bugging them until they eventually sent it. They have since promissed to send the correct one this time. Still waiting and not impressed....

With Titan, you get what you pay for, and perhaps no more! The first implement that I bought for my tractor was the adjustable "real" pallet forks (48" Pallet Fork & Trailer Hitch Titan Skid Steer Attachment, about $475) which I use all the time; the hitch is very handy for trailer repositioning. Adjustable solid steel forks. They have shorter fork models for less money. I also have a Titan box blade, a tree puller, and a weight box. All are worth what I paid for them with the caveat that better can always be had, for more money. For example, the forks didn't slide well on the rail, with burrs and paint, but a few minutes with a file and a little grease and it's good enough. The other stuff works as designed.
When I go cheap (with anything, not just implements), I usually don't waste time emailing or phoning if I need small hardware or a little hammer, drill, or file work, but I have buckets of miscellaneous bits and pieces.

I have the same set. I have used them for many things and like them very much. Well worth the little I paid for them.

I received my forks this afternoon. They are going to be fine. Granted the lift capacity of my little bx is going to lift a whole lot but I was able to left and move my 512lb bush hog and move it somewhere. The bricks on a palette was another story, but those things give big tractors a run for their money. Anyway should be helpful around the house for the small chores I will have for them. $251 to my door was satisfactory.
