Grapple TITAN / EXTREME ROOT GRAPPLE

I have the 54" EA one cylinder model. It is lightweight and tough as nails. I would tear up my loader before tearing this thing up.

I watched the video and that is exactly what I will be doing. I have 70 acres of mature hardwoods but there is plenty spacing between big trees and what is between them are smaller 2-4" trees that need to be pulled. I can just go around the bigger trees. At some point the grapple will be very useful to move brush and make burn piles but my primary goal now is to get this road system in and be able to access my food plot locations and to manage my property borders. One thing I noticed in the video was the skid steer raising up in the rear. I guess like you mentioned just stay in FWD and keep low push and lift. This certainly looks like more of what I need for the job I'm trying to do. Good info, thanks.

I think the size of those trees are a bit deceiving in the video. A lot will have to do with your soil type. Right now it is so wet around me things come up pretty easily. You aren't going to pull an 8" base tree out with your tractor, but you will be surprised by what you can do. Good thing about this particular puller is that if needed, I have no hesitation about renting a skid steer to pull bigger trees without tearing the puller up. It's impressively built in person.

And to add, if that is what you are going to be doing, a grapple for that task is basically useless.trying to push a tree over or to even get into the ground enough to try and get at roots is very difficult due to the width. I guess it could be done, but so time consuming you would hate it.

It'd be like digging a post hole with a spoon.

A Pirhana bar on the loader bucket would work better for uprooting small trees. It's not good for picking them up though.

Anyone have any experience with the Titan Extreme Root Grapple. I am looking at the 60" model. I was trying to keep it somewhat smaller and low in weight. My use will be for smaller trees while building roads in the woods on my property. No rocks so that's not an issue. I thought keeping it lighter in weight would help with pulling power, less load on the machine. This guy weighs 890 lbs which is actually a little more than I was hoping for. I like the rake style grapple with closer together hooks like this Titan has. Price is good at about $1900 bucks. Has Dual cylinders which is what I want. Would like to hear any reviews on it. Good or Bad. Thanks

I have the 72" model purchased in 2016 and it is well made and VERY heavy for my 48 HP Kubota. The only negative (for me) is that it comes with flat face hydraulic couplers which are hard to connect. All things considered I am happy with the purchase.

Have you looked into the MTL grapples? I recently bought a 2 cylinder one with a rock bucket bottom. I'm using it on my Kubota M6800 and have been very pleased thus far. Mine was around 1200.00. They call it the HD RK-X.

I bought the titan implements 66 inch grapple it works pretty good the 2 top pins on the hyd cylinder are messed up after running it into trees and the ground I will replace those with 1 inch bolts cause the cutter pins keep falling out.
