I'm considering buying the Titan SSQA to use on my John Deere 440 loader. I use my bucket most of the time, but I have a set of pallet forks with the skid steer universal plate that I'd like to use with my tractor, plus who knows what I'll buy in the future.

Question - some of the posts I've read on this forum about the Titan SSQA talk about cutting and welding as though they will only use the SSQA and are modifying their bucket. But since I use my bucket most of the time, are there any drawbacks to just leaving my stock loader/bucket connection as is, removing my bucket when I want to use my pallet forks, attaching the Titan adapter to my stock loader arms, and mounting my pallet forks to it? For the $385 for the Titan adapter this seems almost to good to be true for me. Are there other issues I'm not considering?

How are they shipped? I've read some confusing information in posts here compared to the Titan website. They say the adapter weighs 138#. Are they shipped UPS/FEDEX or freight?

Thanks for any information. Your experience is valuable.

If your not going to changeover your bucket theres really not going to be any quick in your quick attach. Its really no big deal to weld a plate onto your bucket, you will be really glad you did. Why get all greasy messing with pins when you can throw 2 levers and be done.

are you sure that titan model has your pin bosses already welded on? That sounds like there universal ssqa kit because most ready to use adaptors are closer to $800 . I built mine using just the latch plates that they sell.

Same as above, putting on an SSQA adaptor on your loader arms is something you only want to do once. It takes time and several curse words. Then you will be able to change from your bucket (once you weld on the SSQA Plate) to your forks (or any other SSQA implement) in a few seconds. Once you have experienced the joy of SSQA, you will "throw rocks" at the mere mention of a pin on loader.:)

Agreed with the others. You need to make your bucket a quick attach, or what is the point

Does your loader have the John Deere Quick Attach?

Converting my 70A loader to SSQA is on the near term agenda. I want pallet forks but really loathe removing/reinstalling pins.

Does your loader have the John Deere Quick Attach?

Yes Xfaxman, I have the John Deere Quick Attach. And to others, I asked my original question because I didn't know how easy or difficult it was to reinstall the pin on bucket. But it sounds like going the total SSQA is the way to go. I'm emailing pictures of my bucket to Titan because they're not sure if their JD adapter will fit my bucket even though they initially said it would. After my looking at the picture in their ad and asking further questions, I don't think it will fit, but I'll let them comment on my pictures before I decide. Thanks for the input from everyone.

Titan also sells a universal SSQA. I got one for my Ford with the 744 loader. The only one I could find for my my tractor to pin on was from Everything Attachments for $2,100!!!!. There was NO WAY I was going to spend that.

So I paid $316 for the universal one from Titan($319). I used a angle finder, straight edge and torch to cut my bucket brackets off then welded the SSQA to the remaining bucket brackets that were pinned to the loader. I also Got a 3/8" Mounting plate for the bucket($114) It took me about 3 hours to do it all.

Just a FYI, Titan offers a SSQA for a John Deer for $385 John Deere to Skid Steer Quick Attach Adapter 200 300 400 500 tractor loader

Another place to look at is THOR attachments Welcome to THORattachments.com They make some of the SSQA mounts for Everything attachments. They quoted me $450 for the universal weld on attachment and $650 for the one custom made to pin onto my tractor

I have kioti ds3510 with quick attach bucket I am wanting to know if there is a backhoe attachment that will fit
On loader arms like the backhoe on the titan site for skidloader. I do not have rear hydraulics on tractor.
I am sure going to get grappler to use as I am trearing down a house that burned.
thanks

I am sure a SSQA style backhoe will fit on the loader but the problem you will have is not enough or any hydraulics at the front to run it
