Titan Stump Bucket Sale - not so much

Heck, you're shipping it's free, it's just a "handling" charge lol? Businesses getting so inventive lately, it's like how we went out to eat not long ago, and they stuck an "equity" fee into the bill.
Reminds me of "...but wait! Order now and get a second one free!. Just pay separate fee"

One thing for certain and that is, if I saw a service charge on my meal receipt, that would be my last visit to that beanery. The places we frequent don't do that and we always tip the server at least 10-12% of the total bill, unless they are really poor which don't happen because we go to the same places all the time.
Having some kind of gratuity added to the bill is common in many countries. Italy had it (coperto), and it was not expected to give an additional tip (although they would take it). According to Google, apparently the funds are treated somewhat differently than I would have expected.

Some restaurants will add the gratuity to the bill of large groups. Apparently there have been problems with groups demanding a lot of service, racking up a $1000+ bill, and not tipping, or for groups dividing up the bill, perhaps they have too much difficulty calculating tips.

As far as this thread, handling charges are not uncommon, although I would agree that it is annoying if an item comes with free shipping plus an expensive handling charge. I dislike the idea of a plane ticket plus extra fuel surcharges.

I've found it extremely annoying when I've purchased items shipped internationally that came with prepaid shipping, then when I go to pick them up at the shipping company, getting hit with undisclosed handling and dock fees.

item came today, ordered through amazon, but it was shipped right from titan. Fedex freight didn't even bother to call, it was due tomorrow, not today and they just dropped it at my gate. UPS came in for a delivery and told me it was sitting out there by the road.

Other than that, it arrived with no delay, no damage, reasonably secured to a pallet with a light metal frame as well.
Fit, welds and tolerances seem just fine.

With free shipping and a $75 handling fee I would say CANCEL!

I wouldn't be supprised by anything happening in IL as back in
the mid 60's people were being taxed on the furniture in their home!
