Re: TnT: Kubo ata\'s vs Integration Engineering, Part 2

John (or anyone else), do you have a web site address or other contact info for Integration Engineering? I'm very interested in your addition, but a Google search for "Integration Engineering" alone or with "tractor" or "hydraulic" thrown in did not return anything useful.

Thanks,
Pete

Re: TnT: Kubo ata\'s vs Integration Engineering, Part 2

Been to the topandtilt web site several times and really like the features of their top link. But I've sent them 3 emails asking for info and in two weeks have yet to recieve a reply. Are they only taking request over the phone? Also their page gives me a frontpage error when I try to use it to request info. Any one else carry their product for online orders?

I've emailed this week with no response as well. Tough to earn my business that way.

Mike and Tim,

The bad news is, their company seems to be kind of a part time business.

The good news is, when you eventually get in touch with them, they know this product backwards and forwards.

Re: TnT: Kubo ata\'s vs Integration Engineering, Part 2

Rat,
You might want to have your hydraulic system checked when the unit is hot. Kubota does not list their working pressure for the exterior hydraulics but it should be around 2000 PSI. At 2000 PSI a 50MM cylinder like the IE system uses should have enough force to lift anything the tractor is safely capable of lifting. Remember that the hydraulics function properly when the engine is running close to the 540 RPM mark on the tractors tachometer. Since you have a larger cylinder you have even more force. Maybe the relief for the rear couplers was not properly set or you may have some other hydraulic system issues going on.

I did leave out enough info here to confuse everyone. I use my back scraper frequently in reverse moving large piles of broken dirt. In doing so, I frequently adjsut the top link the entire time I'm moving. What I am working against is not a static load but one that is variable and typically much great then the static at rest load which most any size cylinder should be able to work. I have a built in PSI gauge on my tractor so knowing what my pressure is always available to me. It does not change within the accuracy of the gauge whether it's cold or hot. I have the stock cylinders from Kubota and must assume they are sized within the tractors strength configuration. My Harley landscape rake is a beast and while I am sure the IE's top and tilt cylinders could move it in a static situation, it would be questionable if it could do it in a dynamic situation. The problem with the Harley is not just it's weight, but the length behind the tractor and how much of that weight is situated all the way at the back of the rake. I must have my loader on in order to use it. I never operate my hydraulics at PTO RPM. I find my pressure is at full pressure even at 1800 RPM once my cylinders charge. I prefer the loader speed at about 2000 RPM, at PTO speed, the LA 723 is so fast, it needs to be feathered the enite time it is operated. I just choose to use 2000 to 2300 RPM max and find the combination of speed and power to be the best or similar to PTO speed. Rat...

Re: TnT: Kubo ata\'s vs Integration Engineering, Part 2

Rat,
I think you need to realize the limitations of your tractor. If you need a D9 CAT to do the job, get one. Does your front end loader have 5" diameter cylinders? I think not. Yes you can mount a hydraulic cylinder on the top link that would lift the front of the tractor off the ground. Also realize your lift arms have a maximum break out force. When you go above and beyond the force your tractor is designed for it will cause damage and expose the operator to safety issues.

Re: TnT: Kubo ata\'s vs Integration Engineering, Part 2

Part time business? Been over two weeks since my first email, gave them a phone call yesterday, no reply yet.
Looked at ccemachine.. but the size I need is out of stock and I've gotten no reply on when it may be back in stock.
A web search for hydraulic top links doesn't bring up any workable parts for a cat1 setup. My local dealer wants over $200 for the cyclinder only and I believe that it is a cat2 type.
Any Ideas on where else to look????? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: TnT: Kubo ata\'s vs Integration Engineering, Part 2

You have lots of choices.

You can go to TSC and buy one of theirs for around $180.

You can wait for CCM to get their next shipment of cylinders (I waited 3 months). If you are not in a hurry I recommend this option.

You can let your fingers do the walking and find a local hydraulic shop or Prince distributor and have one made for you.

You can buy a standard cylinder and cut the ends off and weld up new ends for cat 1. This would be the least expensive route, probably less than $125 or so.

You can try www.baileynet.com and see if they will do a one-of for you.

I am sure there are other options and even some internet suppliers that may have something for you.

In any case expect to spend around $180-$225 for what you are looking for.
