( TNot really sire which was to go yet with a 1100 ft long driveway (10 ft wide) a 60" or better would be preferred. One pass down & one pass back. Done. A 50" blower would still leave 10-20 inches of snow for a third pass. )

Ah Wayne, if only it was so easy as 2 passes. The reality is you will make 3 passes because you need some overlap to account for spillage with the 60" blower. The other problem you might have is weight. A 60" blower lifts the front of my NH TC24D (same size as the B7510 but with a bigger engine) right off the ground, I added 100# of wheel weights and the front is still light. Now with the FEL attached the front end sticks to the ground, but again we are talking about a bigger tractor than the BX to begin with.

I think you would do well with a 54" 3pt blower, you will make 3 passes just like with the 60" blower because of falling snow, etc. And then you will stuck down on the wrong end of the driveway!!!

Though I called the dealer and even though the Kubota brouchure (and web site) spec a 51" and 63" front mount blower and the 50" BX blower he says only the BX blower is now avail. What's up with that?
-Thanks again. )

It might just be that the dealer you spoke with can't get the other blowers. His distributor might be out of stock. When I was looking in May, I was told by one dealer that they won't be getting any more blowers until October.

I usually drop the bucket (4') first pass out the center of my 1200' driveway, then blow a pass on each side (4' blower). I'll end up with roughly a 9-10' wide cut. This only when it becomes deep enough to blow. Try to plow with my side wing if snow is not too deep. If too deep it takes about 3 1/2 hours to clear using blower.

Wyane,

With a driveway that long you will likey want to "york rake" it at some point to keep it nice and smooth, as well as blow it clean of snow. I'd get the 7610 if you can afford it. That way you can also drag around a rear finish mower for your lawn. However, it won't be as easy as the BX to bag it. A rear discharge leaves few clippings due to the discharge area being so large in the rear of the deck.

I've never heard of anybody bagging clippings from a field type of area? I'd just let them lay where they drop to help the soil.

It is my opinon that a proper landscape rake (york rake) is one of the most valuable attachments available. If you can swing it, get one for your driveway. They're also great to drag brush with. You pile up the brush with the butts facing in the same direction, then back onto the pile and drop the rake. I can pull huge piles for long distances. When I get the brush to the right location I life the rake and use the loader to pile them up or move them where I want. They're also good for rear weight.

-Jim
