I too agree a great idea. I would like to thank my dad, pictured below, back row third from the left who was a waist gunner in a B-17 bomber in WWII. He and his crew flew 30 missions, 10 more then required. A real hero in my mind. Miss you dad.

I salute all members who have served and are currently in uniform. Stanley

To all veterans - past, present, and future; especially to those ones that went in when I did that might still be serving. Thank you.
Here is a small compilation I put together for my Facebook cover picture for today

Thank you all veterans, active duty military, reservists and your families. We Viet Nam era vets were not treated that well upon return, but it has long since been time to forgive and move on. Today, partly because of the Viet Nam experience we separate our feelings about the political reasons for the conflicts, from our feeling of appreciation for our troops in combat and support roles around the world. The world is a better place because of your service.

Politics aside for a moment......I also would like to thank those who have served and are currently serving. My family has many veterans......some made it home....some did not. This goes back as far as WWI. I saw many friends die or injured in Viet Nam. I miss them and only wish they would have made it home like the rest of us.
I hate war but I have total respect for our military personnel.......today is a day to say thanks.....call a vet....thank them for what you have......thank them for their service. :united-states:
