Very good discussion, thank you for the input. I've decided to buy a nice 2011 New Holland T1510, HST, equipped with Backhoe (with thumb), quick connect front bucket, and most importantly; canopy over operators station...

Congratulations , you won't regret having the backhoe attachment. I had a 2310 long about ten years ago and was looking to replace it with a tractor with a loader and happen to run across the kubota L3410 I bought with a backhoe for the same money I was finding for just a tractor and loader. Really didn't think I'd use it much, but was I WRONG, used it almost more than the loader to clean up a couple acres around my shop. I don't use it as much now but sure glad I got it.
