The "E" is for 2 wheel drive.

I have a b6100 E. I dont know if yours is a 2 cylinder or 3 cylinder....mine is a 3. There sorta similar to each other, yours being an older version of mine. I can tell you its a hard worker and a great little tractor. It is really light though. As long as your doing light work with it maybe some medium work every once and awhile it should be fine. If you are planning on getting any attachments for it i dont htink many will be available because there is a hp issue. Other than that its a great little toy

andrew - does yours have the funny PTO? if so is it something you can live with or does it suck the hope from the surrounding air?
what do you do with yours - any mowing?
hey wait havent we had this conversation before? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
i really wanna get it but dont want to make a mistake
i envisage glorious images of riding around the neighborhood an a shiny orange tractor - and then a dull rusting heap hanging from an engine crane with the engine in bits, hopefully i will end up with the former, not the latter
thanks for helping me hopefully make the right decision - keep the thoughts coming
thanks

My PTO turns the correct way. It was the b5000,6000 models that turned the opposite way. I do mowing with at 48" mmm. It runs off of a front electric pto...with a belt because i have a gear model. Also have a 5' hydraulic snow blade. I have never ran any implements off of the PTO yet though so can't comment on how that works. I do know the three point lift capacity is really weak compared to todays tractors. It can only lift 300 lbs.

I think Kubota is stuck on that 300 lb capacity on the 3ph. My '99 B7300 manual says the same thing. Maybe the 6000's are different but the brushhog I'm getting is a 4ft that weights 560 lbs and my dealer has assured me it's no problem. There is also a few other guys on this site with similar tractors and said that they don't have any trouble with implements over 300 lbs.

I don't even know what the manual says the capacity is of the 3PH on my B7400, but it has no problem whatsoever with my super heavy Gannon box blade - not sure what it weighs but but it's way over 300 lbs. Ditto with my 4' Bush Hog.
