does it have a diff lock?

Yes I does, it is the pedal almost directly under the seat. I find I use the brakes just to stop the spinning wheel most of the time. The diff lock can give you a pretty scary ride some times.

3 forward and one reverse, with a hi / lo range = 6 forward and 2 reverse. I have shifted gears within a range and have shifted from lo to hi range, but it never really feels as smooth as I would like, so I ussually stop first. I think it is strong enough to take it though!

am i right in saying there are 2 pedals on the left - 2 on the right and an accelerator on the right
the two on the left are the two wheel brakes and one of the right hand pedals is the clutch - what is the other one on the right or doesnt it exist/there isnt one
if you cant be bothered or dont want to answer i wont be offended if you dont - i dont want to stop you doing anything else
thanks i appreciate it

One other thing...

Most of my shifting is either from 3rd gear lo range to 1st gear hi range so there is no easy way to make that shift. On level ground a normal 1st to 2nd to 3rd is not a problem.

Don't worry about the questions I am happy to help. And it seems like there are many others here who feel the same.

The clutch is on the left, and the two brakes are on the right. The throttle is hand operated on the right side of the hood / bonnet!

The only other peddle is the diff lock located almost under the seat.

Don't worry about the questions Mith.... I am just waiting for the snow to stop so I can go out and plow!!!!!!

on the one i just bought there is a hand throttle b yhte side of the hood and a small almost button like pedal underneath the clutch which is a throttle - i guess yours doesnt have that then
i know that is a throttle cos he used it to revv it up
can you lock the wo brakes together to make them brake equally or is your foot supposed to span them?
how fast does it go 3rd high, 5mph, 10, 15?
do you have much snow?
thanks for answering these its very helpful to me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mine has a metal bar that can drop between the two peddles to lock them together. I rarely use it though... bit of a pain. Even my small feet have no problem stepping on both! I do find once every other year or so I have to adjust them so they are at the same hieght. I tend to use the left brake more for tight turns when I am cutting the fields.

how fast does it go 3rd high, 5mph, 10, 15?

I was going to say maybe 10mph, but I took a look at the manual and it says:

B6000

6th 7.2 mph

Iterestingly is shows the B6000E

1st 1.12 mph
2nd 1.81
2rd 2.88
4th 5.12
5th 7.77
6th 12.04

Looks like you got the fast one!!!!!

do you have much snow?

We are just getting the NW edge of the storm. Maybe 3 - 4" Lots of wind that is blowing it around along with the 12" or so we have had in the last week. Mostly just drifting, light, easy to move snow. It looks like they are getting pounded in SE Maine.
