One cold Saturday the JW's came knocking. My wife was gone and I was bored so I invited them in. I took them in the den and sat them. I said let me get the coffe and hot chocolate going. I brought out some cookies and sat down.
Then I looked at them and said So what are we going to talk about today. They looked at each other with a confused look. The older one shrugged and said I don't know, we have never made it this far.

Well, at least it wasn't this kind of JW:

I ate pizza with my family in that very spot!

Well you could try a sign at beginning of drive - PRIVATE DRIVE DEAD END

Walt Conner

YA no ****.

I am from UP. While I like my privacy, I don't post my property, cause I don't want to look like one of those. Though I am far enough north, where I don't get to many people.

Most states do not consider a holstered side arm to be brandishing. You have to take it out of the holster. We had a fellow named Ward Bird imprisoned for a year or so because after speaking with a trespasser, he took his gun out of the holster and unloaded it before going in the house and the DA sold the jury on that being considered "brandishing".

Our driveway is a bit shorter, but we still had driveins sometimes. About 6 or 7 years ago, we put in a solar powered gate. Set us back $4,600. The telecon on it never did work well, we just have a sign there now saying to call us, with our phone #. You'd have to spend about another $500 to have a decent radio-based telecon.

Wife says it's one of the best investments we've made. Of course, if you've open area around your drive, you'll also have to fence. We've trees on one side and drop off on the other.

Unloaded toward the trespasser?

Unloaded toward the trespasser?

The official court transcripts do not say unloaded and does not say anything about a holster.
Very interesting case:
Ward Bird Brandishing Case Has NH Gun Owners Up In Arms - The Truth About Guns

" . . . .She missed the left hand turn off of Yukon Trail, drove past the white trailer, and ended up in front of the defendant’s house. She parked her car and got out. The defendant emerged from his home screaming, ‘get the F off my property’ . . .

“He came down from his porch, continuing to yell profanities while waving a gun at her. At trial, she testified that he pointed the gun ‘[t]owards’ her. Harris asked the defendant whether he was the boyfriend of the woman selling the property. He repeated his command for her to leave his property. Harris eventually climbed back into her car, mouthing ‘[w]hat an ***.’ The defendant then walked off the porch toward her waving his gun as she backed out of the driveway.”"

In Michigan, I was told by a CPL instructor that just lifting your shirt [ or something to the same effect ] and showing your holstered weapon is also brandishing......
