To plow or not to plow

I am interested in also having a few goats or pigs eventually. I guess some of the veggies can also be used to feed them. Always the food kitchens will enjoy the donations

I would say do not plow. We do about 5 acres 1/3 of that is in cover crop each year. Never plowed it, disking and chisel plowing only, no tilling either. Do you already have a tractor? what size? if not think about a BCS if doing less then a couple acres.

I would think you are in a clay heavy soil that will need lots of cover cropping to build organic matter.
